Good To Know
Say hello to Miradouro Largo Padre Pita Ferreira, your new favorite “holy smokes, look at that view” spot in Madeira. Nestled right below the São Gonçalo parish church (yep, the one with the 1914 statue – artsy stuff), this viewpoint brings together history, sea breezes, and a view so good you’ll consider canceling your return flight.
It’s named after Padre Pita Ferreira, a priest from Câmara de Lobos who was basically Madeira’s OG art protector. He passed in 1963, but now he lives on through this top-tier viewpoint—and honestly, what a way to be remembered.
