Viewpoint Rocha Kamasora

Ponta do Sol is a charming little town on the southwest coast of Madeira Island, and as the name suggests, it’s apparently the sunniest spot on the whole island — a title it wears proudly! The town may be small, but it’s packed with character and charm. On the eastern side, you’ll spot a curious yellow fortress called Rocha Kamasora. Now, here’s where things get interesting (or, well, confusing). We tried to dig up some info on it. We really did. But alas, we came up short. Shame on us!

But hey, at least the view from there is stunning, and honestly, who needs historical context when the scenery is this gorgeous? We’re sure you’ll love it, even if we can’t tell you much about the fortress itself. Just soak in the sunshine and enjoy the moment — it’s all part of the Ponta do Sol experience!
