On our journey northwards in search of stunning viewpoints, we stumbled upon the Ponta Delgada Viewpoint, nestled in a charming small town in the northeast of Madeira Island. What truly captivated us were the two enormous Dragon Trees standing proudly there. Little did we know, these trees grow incredibly slowly, meaning they must already be ancient, bearing witness to centuries of history.
As we soaked in the view stretching toward the northwest side of the island, we couldn’t help but wonder about the stories these majestic trees could tell. The scenery is absolutely delightful, and if you’re fortunate enough to visit on a sunny day, as we did, you’re in for a truly unforgettable experience at this remarkable viewpoint.
