This hidden Poncha spot was once a hotel with 25 cabanas, perched a little higher up the mountain in São Jorge. We stumbled upon it by accident while exploring a nearby viewpoint—lucky us! Of course, we had to step inside, where we were warmly greeted by a friendly woman who served us a freshly made Pescador Poncha. It was absolutely delicious, and we were so glad we stopped by.
Interestingly, the entire massive complex is currently up for sale, so who knows how long this little bar will stay open? But for now, it’s still pouring some of the tastiest Poncha around—so don’t miss the chance to stop by and enjoy a drink while you can!
