Praia do Porthino

Jardim do Mar used to be a small fishing village in the southwest of Madeira Island. It is still one of the relatively unknown gems of this island. It was very difficult to get there in the past but that has changed thanks to the "Via Rapida" connecting the southwest to Funchal via Ribeira Brava. Still, it is a 45 Minutes drive there but totaly worth it.

Right where the beach "Praia do Porthino" is located you will also find a restaurant serving fantastic food and ice-cold drinks. A small feature of this beach is also the ramp for boats. It is very slippery and young daredevils slide it down. We even caught on doing that during our drone shot which you can see above. Also, the sunsets are amazing at this spot.
