A priest walks into a karaoke bar and says "hi" to Serge the Parrot. This could be the start of an amazing Bar-Joke. But in the "Casa Regional Terreiro Da Luta" this might happen more often than you think. Why? Because it is an actual Poncha Bar where there is Karaoke every Friday and Saturday which is right inside a sanctuary for Priests who seek solitude and inside the bar is a beautiful Parrot called "Serge"
The place is amazing and has even more spectacular views to Funchal duo to its elevated location in the mountains. As already mentioned it's very close to a Sanctuary and a Miradoro. So is a poplular stop for Tourists and Jeep safari Explorers alike.
The Poncha is good and the staff is even better. We highly recommend you to stop by and have a Poncha or two and enjoy it on the tables which are made out cut trees that are 300 years old. Oh and please say Hello to "Serge" for us and dont get to close to him especially when he is outside of his cage. Thanks
